Heat Activated Fire Alarm

A couple of these vintage gems at my inspection today!  Apparently heat-activated fire alarms.  I’d sure hate to have to wait for a fire to generate enough heat to set one of these off!  No doubt we’re much safer with modern smoke detecting units.  Have you tested yours lately?
